As I mentioned in the prior newsletter, we will be using YourCourts for court reservations this year.  In addition, we will use YourCourts for:

• Our Member Directory

• Registering for activities and events and tournaments

• Challenge Ladders

• Find-A-Match (what we used to call Meet-Your-Match).  This will be rolled out a little later.

You can access Yourcourts either using a web browser (yourcourts.com) or as a mobile app.  It is available for download on both the Apple and Android app stores.

Signing Up for YourCourts

All active, paid-up members will be automatically set up in the system.  Your login id will be your email address.  Very soon you will receive an email directly from YourCourts telling you “Sharon Tennis Club Account Created.”  This email will provide you with a temporary password.

For Family memberships, only the account “owner” (basically the person who paid the bill), will be automatically set up.  Additional family members who wish to use YourCourts will need to follow the registration process below.

If you are a family member, or if you did not receive an enrollment email for any other reason, and you want to use the system, you will need to register.  Follow these steps:

1. Open the app or go to yourcourts.com

2. Click on “Register”

3. Start to type “Sharon Tennis Club” in the “Club, Community, or Facility…” field.  Our club will come up.  Select it.  Click “Next”

4. Fill in your name and email address.  Click “Next”

5. Fill in your other details.  Click “Submit”

6. You will immediately receive an email confirming your request.

Once your request has been approved, you will receive another email telling you that your account has been created. 

Setting up your profile

It is important that you complete setting up your profile. 

Sign in using your temporary password. 

You will be taken to the Home page.  Access your profile by clicking on your name in the upper right hand corner, then “My Profile.”  (If you are using the mobile app, first you click on the “gear” icon in the upper right corner, then your name, then “My Profile.”)

• Review your personal information.  This is what will (potentially) appear in the Member Directory.

• Go to the “Privacy” tab.  This is where you can indicate whether or not you want to be listed in the Member Directory, and, if you do, what information you want to show.  Please note that the directory is only visible to other STC members who are using Yourcourts.  The default is that you do not appear in the Member Directory.

• Go to the “Password” tab to change your password

That’s it!  You are now all set to make reservations, browse the Member Directory, or sign up for activities (such as Karen’s Mixed-Doubles groups on Mon and Wed evenings).

Basic help information is provided on the Home screen.  You can always find this by clicking on “Home.”

Right now I am the Administrator for YourCourts.  This is a role I do not want to keep.  If any member would be willing to serve as YourCourts Administrator, I would be deeply grateful.
