Website Live! Dues. And a Survey Reminder

The new STC website is finally up and running. Whew! Thank you for your patience. Check it out at sharontennisclub.org and feel free to provide feedback. You can use the Contact Us form for that if you like. The Member’s Only section is still a work in progress but will be coming on-line soon.

The biggest improvement is in the Membership and Payments area. You can now pay using a credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and direct bank withdrawal, as well as Paypal. You can also pay guest fees for 2023 and frequent use contributions along with your dues. In fact, you’ll be able to use the website to pay your guest fees as you incur them during the season this year (perhaps monthly would be convenient).

We want to make sure that the membership information on file for you is correct, so please fill out a complete membership application along with your payment. You can do this online; you can also print out a copy of the application if you want to send it in with a check instead of paying online. Yes, we are asking for your birth year. Of course you don’t have to tell us, but we promise to keep it confidential, and understanding our membership demographics is quite important to our planning. If you want to shave off a couple of years, we won’t mind (or know).

Please pay your dues as soon as you can.
We needed to invest in tree work this Spring and we have our biggest expense of the season coming up in the next few weeks when we pay Cape and Islands to prepare the courts for opening. Obviously with the website being down, we are way behind collecting dues. So get online today! They say that paying is almost as much fun as playing. Try it out and let me know if that’s true.

An army of volunteers – well really just me – has been working hard to get the club looking its best. You’ll notice a number of cosmetic improvements. More improvements to come, many based on your suggestions from the survey, which brings us to ….

Member Survey Reminder.

We’ve received more than 65 responses to the survey. That’s a pretty good response rate, and the feedback and suggestions have been very helpful. We will definitely be incorporating these ideas into our planning for the year. If you haven’t responded, we’re missing your voice! Here’s another link to the survey:

Again, please only fill out the survey if you plan to renew your membership in 2024.  Only one survey per member.  If you have a family membership, both adults may complete the survey.

I will send out a summary of the results in another week or two.
