Come on down and brag about how well you played all year. Alternatively, chronicle all of your minor injuries and ailments. Or complain about the reservation system. Either way, we’d love to see you. Rain date Sunday 10/6.

Court Reservations
A reminder that Courts 3 and 4 are reservable most of the time. If you would like to make a reservation, go to the Members Only page of the STC website and follow instructions for downloading the Skedda reservation app.
Reservation Etiquette and Guidelines. While most members have reported that the Reservation system is working well, we have had a few instances of conflicts arising over reservations. The concept of reservations is new, so let’s exercise patience and courtesy as we get used to a new system. If you have reserved a court, you have the right to take that court at the beginning of your time slot, just as you would at your favorite indoor club. However, here are some suggestions for handling the situation if someone is on the court. First of all, start a conversation with them. Let them know that you have the court reserved. Find out if they are near the end of their game. If another court is free, consider playing there instead, or at least starting there. If no courts are free, but the reservation system shows that no one has the court reserved after you, consider giving the current occupants of your reserved court the additional 5 or 10 minutes it might take for them to finish their game or set or tie-breaker, knowing that you will still be able to play for your full time. Conversely, if you are playing on Court 4 or 5 and you do not have a reservation, realize that a member who has made a reservation has the right to that court. Any accommodation that they extend to you is a courtesy, and should be treated as such by you. Belligerence is never called for. Work out who sweeps which court if someone with a reservation starts on one court and then moves over. Remember, we are a social club, with a long tradition of getting along and working it out.
Brain Health
I’ve been worrying about my brain lately. If you have also been worrying about my brain, or yours, this is a very interesting study about HIIT exercise and brain health.
